A WHOLE NEW LIGHT
This is a picture of the house that I grew up in. Amazing the things that we take for granted, such as this, until you see it through someone else's eyes. My Dad's cousin took this shot while visiting my parent and I can see it froma whole new perspective now. Have had a lovely visit here the last few days, and am looking forward to home as I will get to see FIL. YIPEE. More later.

Better than Vitamin D
We had our first day of sun here yesterday in something crazy like 35 days - Yikes. I was out there drinking up the vitamin D, but I dare say who needs it with this little ray of sunshine in my life everyday. Here are a few shots of our Eme sitting up that are supposed to be proof, however you can see my hands in all of them. This is for safety reasons as she decided to give it a try for the first time on the kitchen counter, but we have video footage, I promise. Sorry aobut the order of these posts - a little backwards - I will get the hang of it someday.
SO CUTE AND SO SMART
Our little munchkin did something very cool this past Saturday...she sat all by herself. She started in the classic tripod position and quickly realized that with a little attention to the abs and good posture she could have a whole new experience. We were so excited it was hard to contain ourselves.
I have had the opportunity to be the sole caregiver these past few days as FIL is in the UK with his mother saying goodbye to his Granny and reacquainting himself with the rest of his massive extended family there. It has actually been quite nice, less work than I thought, Eme is a very good girl - THE BEST GIRL IN THE WORLD I call her. Everytime my nervous mother syndrome takes over she has this calm way about her and I wonder why I ever get worried. So amazing. I am off to visit my parents for a few days and let them bask in her glory for a while.

A little something new...
It has obviously been too long, and I must admit that all of my blogging time lately has been dedicated to reading other peoples blogs and getting thoroughly inspired and despressed at the same time. Depressed in that I dont' have all of that time to sit down and seriously do the things that I want these days, perhaps a change of perspective is in order - I could do a few minutes a day rather than the many hours I like together.... we shall see.
Is this not the cutest mother and daughter shot ever!
